[PREVIOUSLY]

"A lady does not discuss such matters normally but Ah will admit to not having any opportunity for intimacy. So no exchange of ANY fluids." Nicoles admitted.

"Though Ah did mean to as he is a handsome Devil." She smiled. "Ah was not on duty and only that woman and my date could be considered contacts."

[CONTINUED]

"Not even exchange of saliva?" Zuub asked, her antennae flopping skeptically.

Amber decided to leave the conversation to the doctors and went to file a report with security.

Kuroko simply rolled her eyes as she allowed Zuub to scan her. She glanced over at Tessa as she listened to the results. "See, I told you that something was wrong. I knew you weren't right!" she said locking her gaze onto Tessa.

She turned back to the Commander. "Apologies for making a scene Commander. But I needed to prove that she wasn't right before something happens that she might regret..." she said.

"Yew lost the right to be Mah Keeper when you left me in that Biobed." Stomping her foot again. "SO why do Yew care what Gentleman I choose as me previous taste in Relationships has been so good for Me in the Romance Department."

"If I knew you were in a biobed and not in several pieces as the reports said, I wouldn't have left its side!" Kuroko half shouted, half cried. Tears were starting to come from her eyes. She turned around to hide them. "Some idiot made a mistake on the reports"

Her knees gave way and she found herself crouched in a ball on the floor. "I know I'm a bad person. I did what you hate. I dived right into my work as a distraction. I didn't look behind me. I hid behind the uniform again. I'm...." she sniffled as a moment of silence fell upon the room. "I'm... sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm..."

"Quit whining..." Nicoles said as she look at Kuroko. "QUIT IT... You let me go and AH am not coming back to someone who will just let me go like this!"

Kuroko didn't seem to listen. She just kept repeating as tears flowed down her face. "I'm sorry; I'm sorry; I'm sorry..."

Kneeling down, turning at the waist as a lady should she go close to Kuroko.

"Suck it up Cupcake..." She warned loudly. " A girl does no wait forever with a Studmuffin on the shelf Yew know." She said loudly. "You beat the men in everything else... Why not what you profess to care for?"

Kuroko just crouched there and didn't answer. She began to rock and forth on her heels. She didn't respond, she didn't want to. Plus this was too much for her. She knew that she was allowing her emotions to get to her. She wasn't quite sure what else she could do.

"I see that Kuroko really did leave me." She said quietly before standing. "Now can Ah go back to my date?" SHe asked the women standing there.

"No," Amber said quietly. "You are relieved of duty and will be under the doctor's care until she says you are fit for duty."

"Kuroko," Kym said quietly. "I'd like to talk with you. She glanced at Amber. "Can I take he with me as long as I promise to send her to her quarters after?"

Amber nodded. "I believe confinement to quarters for now will be sufficient."

The first officer turned to Zuub. "Do you need anything more from Lieutenant Shirai?"

"Yew cannot be serious; this whole event is a act against mah rights." Nicoles returned. "You cannot tell me whom I ah might see, and I did my job as expected by the way and thank Yew." She crossed her arms over her chest.

Zuub shook her head. "I think under the circumstances, the safest way to transport Lieutenant Nicoles is under sedation. I apologize, Lieutenant Nicoles for this action but I cannot risk the safety of the ship by escorting you to sickbay."

The Doctor commanded the computer, "Computer, taking into account all known allergies and sensitivities, please safely utilize an anesthetizing gas in the brig cell containing Lieutenant Nicoles that will keep Lieutenant Nicoles out for approximately eight hours."

The computer acknowledged and the hiss of a gas started flowing into Lieutenant Nicoles' brig cell.

"That was not wright..." Nicoles started to protest as her head became quickly groggy. "You... little.. Darlin..." Then crumpled onto the bed.

Satisfied that Nicoles was out, Zuub still errored on the side of caution, waiting extra time before taking any action. She delayed herself by saying, "Lieutenant Shirai, I shall require you to submit to a scan as well. We need to make sure that you are not effected." Zuub held out the medical tricorder towards Kuroko.

Gunnar growled slightly, but Jax shushed him. For some reason, Gunnar had been a little eager lately. He hoped it wasn't this dumb virus affecting his dog.

"Doc, let me know if I need to lower the forcefield," the brig officer said. "Some ships you can scan through it, others you can't, even in Starfleet."

"I was able to get readings on Lieutenant Nicoles. I see no reason that I cannot on Lieutenant Shirai," Zuub informed Jax.

"Aye, ma'am." Jax said. He kept the forcefield up even though Dr Nicoles was out cold. Some people could come out of it real fast.

Gunnar sat on his haunches, so Jax relaxed somewhat. If Gunnar thought she was out, she was out.

"Once you take the readings, transport Lieutenant Nicoles to sickbay. Lieutenant Shirai will have to be cleared by both medical and counseling before they can return to duty," Amber said.

Zuub finished her readings on Lieutenant Shirai. "It appears that you are not affected. However, I would like you to keep in quarantine for 24 hours, just to make certain. We know this virus seems to normally have a rapid incubation period but our transporters missed it on Dr. Nicoles and it seems to have had a slower onset with her." Zuub's antennae twirled uncertainly in wider circles on her head.

"Would you prefer her to quarantine here or in her quarters?" Amber asked.

"There is no reason that we cannot keep her comfortable in her quarters," Zuub answered.

Amber nodded. She turned to Kuroko. "I think you should talk to the counselor here, then you can relax in your quarters for 24 hours."

Kym nodded. "Here is fine for me."

"As you wish," Zuub answered. With that, she left, heading to sickbay to start the procedure on Tessa.

Amber followed shortly after.

"Okay," Kym said, turning her attention to Kuroko. "Let's begin with your arrival on the Aurora..."
