| Physical Description | Kuroko originally from Japan has distinguished Japanese Features. She has a light build, and is quite athletic. For her age she is rather short, but she see's this as an advantage as she is rather quick on her feet and agile. She usualy has her hair tied up in the form of two twintails, which is slightly curly but not too long to break regulations. She always keeps her uniform neat and tidy, and likes to look presentable as she believes that a Starfleet Officer should always look professional and ready. |

| General Overview | Kuroko is a dedicated officer. On duty she is driven to her work and has a good sense of justice. She will always do what is required, and can be sometimes described as 'over too enthuastic' which has gotten her into trouble from time to time. She also has a unique style of dealing with situations, especially in her security work. She can be a team player, but often likes to deal with things in a solo manner. However will work with others should she be ordered to. Off duty she is a different person. She likes to 'let her hair down' and have some fun. She enjoys meeting with friends and close colleagues. She is often found in the ships bar, trying to pick up someone or trying to smash someones record in the gymnasium. |

| Ambitions | Kuroko's ambitions are actually quite simple. She is dedicated to her job as a security and tactical officer. She doesn't really see herself as a command officer, but always that of a security officer. She want's to uphold justice and the law and will go beyond her boundaries sometimes to ensure it is upheld. She also doesn't see herself as a family person, mainly because she is attracted more to women than to men. But saying that, she wouldn't mind adopting a child in the future if she met the right partner to pass on her knowledge and skills. | |

| Personal History | Kuroko was born in Kyoto in Japan on Earth. When she was a young age, she was with her mother walking back from the local Shinto Shrine, when her mother was held hostage in an armed robbery. The two Nausicans were after any Federation credits her mother may have had on her, and even though she had nothing both Nausicans beat her before leaving. From that day Kuroko made a mental pact with herself to always respect the law, and if she could uphold it as much as possible. Once she entered school, the experience with the two Nausicans still affected her. She was often called into the principals office for fighting other students. Mainly this was because she would jump to the defence of other students against the bullies, but somehow she was always the one to get into trouble for it. Knowing that their daughter was getting into trouble at school, both Nao and Kazuma, her parents decided to enroll Kuroko in a martial arts class. The idea was to teach her discipline and to somehow change her behaviour. Safe to say it did have some affect. But it just made Kuroko more deadly in a fight. By the end of middle school, she had learnt to restrain herself against bullies. By then all she had to do was to tell them to cut it out and they would back off. During her high school years Kuroko began to wonder what she would do with her life. The school she attended had a student-led mini police force called Judgement. The idea behind Judgement was that students could deal with other students problems such as bullying, arguments and other matters from litter dropping to ensuring overall student safety. Of course Kuroko joined. At the end of her first year she was one of the Judgement officers of the school, and was known by most students as 'The Scary Freshman who will stop you no matter what'. At the end of her high school career, at age eighteen she got a special reqard for helping stop bullying in the school and for ensuring that the school rules were followed by so many of the students. Her grades were not the best in her class, but they were above average. Orginally she wanted to join the Japanese Police Force, but the night before applying she dreamt about the time with her mother and the Nausicans. Plus with Earth being a paradise and crime extremely low, especially in the more urban areas she came to the conclusion she would become bored easily. Therefore, instead of the Japanese Police Force she decided to apply for Starfleet in their security branch. It took two weeks for Starfleet to come back to her. She had to pass an entrance exam, but she recieved a conditional officer pending her entrance exam results. She took a transport alone to San Francisco, without telling her parents to take the exam. She wasn't one that stuggled with academics, but she found it pretty challenging. However, three weeks later she had passed with a good score of seventy eight per cent. She eventually told her parents that she had being accepted into Starfleet. They supported her in her decisions and helped her relocate to San Francisco and the Starfleet Academy Campus. At the Academy she jumped in head first into her Security and Tactical training. She began to become fascinated with the technology behind phasers and photon torpedoes. She enjoyed working closely with them. It was at the Academy in her second year that she also first discovered that she was more attracted to woman than to men. She began to have certain feelings towards another cadet in her class, but was unsure about how to approach it. She was turned down though one night when she had had too much to drink and full out told the cadet. It turned out that the Cadet was called Tessa Nicholes whom liked her too, and the two eventually entered into an romantic relationship. Kuroko began to work harder determined to impress her with how well she could do. It payed off, but not for Kuroko's Romantic feelings, as the cadet still didn't return the feelings in the slightest at Graduation, but did tell her they could be friends, even if they were in different assignments. After graduating and being assigned the rank of Ensign, Kuroko managed to get a position as a Junior Security Officer aboard the USS Colorado. At age twenty two, she was seen as a newbie, and even though she tried her hardest, the Colorado wasn't one of the ships to see much action. In one incident when the Colorado was boarded by some hostile aliens, she saw this as her opportunity to prove herself to her superiors. She broke away from the security team she was assigned, and instead of retreating she held her ground outside of Engineering with a phaser and defended it the best she could. Of course after a little while she was overwhelmed by the enemy and woke up two days later in the ships Sickbay. However the small amount of time she had managed to hold them off, allowed for the ships Engineering Staff to raise the shields and defend the ship against hostile fire. Even though she technically disobeyed orders and broke formation, she was awarded a special medal for her bravery and it was noted in her record that she showed bravery and courage with dedicated to the ship. Because of her actions, the Chief Security officer assigned Kuroko her own security team. She commanded her team, which became to be be known as the 'first response team' as she ensured they were always first to get to a situation for a good year shortly before her twenty fourth birthday. When the USS Colorado returned to Starbase 64 for routine crew rotations, Kuroko was approached by the Captain of the USS Castaway, an Excelsior Class Starship. She accepted, and even though her rank didn't bother her she was pleased to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. She enjoyed her time aboard the USS Castaway. However it was short lived. The Castaway was attacked by an unknown aliens and this was Kuroko's first battle. It was in the battle in which Kuroko faced something new, she watched as her Security Chief was killed at his console. She immediately tried to take over the controls of the Castaway's weapons systems. However when the ship was drifting and still being fired upon, she decided to begin evacuation procedures. After being granted a month of shoreleave. Kuroko wanted to look for a new assignment. She visited her parents and told them about her battle experience, and even though she was young she still saw herself as a mini-veteran in battle. Later that year she was assigned aboard the new starship, the USS Charlotte. With tensions rising in the Klingon Empire the USS Charlotte was assigned to monitor the border. The Charlotte was attacked three times by the Klingon's loyal to the Duras Family and opposed to the Federation. However, both Kuroko and her Chief Managed to fight them off manning both of the ships tactical consoles. However the Charlotte was eventually destroyed by rogue Klingon ships, and Kuroko was one of the survivers. She returned back to Earth after being picked up by the USS Missouri. Eventually the USS Aurora was in need of crew and with the Charlotte destroyed, Kuroko found herself on the list of transfers to the Aurora. She joined the ship when it returned back to the Alpha Quadrant hoping that one day she might get to run a department. |
