[CONTINUED]

[OLD]

"I have something to tranquilize a small animal," Amber said. "We should get the first one we find and return." She looked around. "If you're ready, let's beam over and see what we can find."

[NEW]

"I am quite Ready Commander." Troilon agreed.

The man's eyes opened to an enclosed space of grey smooth rock, with a rough grey plant material underneath him. He stood up, his bare feet planted on the strange plant. He didn't know what it was, but he didn't like it. He wanted to go back to his new home. The other male would try to take over as Alpha again. HE was the Alpha. Something came into the bigger area of the room. It was a red...thing...in a shape like him and his clan, but it looked nothing like them. It was red except for an area in the head region near the face.

He paced back and forth, grunting, flexing his fingers, occasionally thrusting out his chin and giving a forceful grunt, trying to display dominance. He was feeling other things, too. Things that weren't him feeling them. But he was. Yet he wasn't.

"Interesting contrast to the persona here on the PADD that The Commander managed to find about the Gentle-man." Nicoles said. "Ah have veri-fied that it is him and the changes from what was recorded as an average, nothing to stand out sort yet he does seem to have more aggression in this state." She noted. "Here is to hoping that we get them back soon."

Azusa had woken a few minutes ago. She was in some strange place sitting curled up on a soft flat surface. She had tried to move closer to the Alpha, but something had knocked her back. The bright lights seemed to be familiar to her. It was like she knew this place, she had been here before.

She could see her Alpha pacing, but knew that the invisible wall was preventing her from being close to him. She shuffled closer to the bright lights at the end of the soft flat surface. Slowly she reached out and began to touch the different colours. It was like she knew what she was doing, it was as if it was second nature to her. Her fingers moved on their own as she played with the colourful lights.

"Warning. Isolation forcefield has been deactivated" a strange voice called. Azusa looked around, she knew that voice but not where it was coming from. She began to move, the invisible wall had gone. She could now be closer to the alpha.

Trei saw his mate come in to be with him and he grabbed her and dragged her to him, before stepping outside the cell. He didn't know how the invisible wall got down, but he didn't care. He had to defend his claim as Alpha.

Nicoles heard the alarm go off and grabbing a hypo she rushed out of the small section she had been in using a centrifuge to break down the blood samples.

It was not a large lab so Nicoles headed for the close point between cells and exit ready for a rambunctious male.

Trei and Azusa ran around the corner and almost knocked over another female. As she stumbled, Trei stopped. He knew her. He didn't know from where, but he knew her. He touched her cheek with one forefinger, frowning, as his mate looked on.

"Down Boy..." Instinct drove the hypo into the deranged Security man touching her face like he wanted to own her.

Nicoles was no man's Choice to take, she did not like men in that way all macho and junk. She just pumped him full of enough tranquillizer to put down three burly Klingons, or one amorous Betazoid set on conquest.

"No man can touch me in that way." She shuttered and stare at the Engineer holding the hypo. "Sit... or be next." She growled to the woman ready to back hand slap her for being stupid in letting a man dominate her..

Trei collapsed into a pile of slumbering Betazoid and after a few minutes started to snore.

Amber, Remy, and Tiskatee materialized a short distance outside the cave. "Check the rocks and see if you can find a lizard. We'll go inside only if we can't find one out here."

They spread out, staying in visual contact, and began to look for a lizard.

Boudreau flipped open his tricorder, setting it to find reptilian life, scanning backwards and forwards as he approached the rocks and the encroaching undergrowth, 'let's hope we bag one out here,' he muttered, not too eager to go back into the caves any time soon.

Amber headed for the rocks beside the cave opening, hoping to flush out a lizard or other native creature sunning themselves. It would keep them from making another trip into the caves, which might be a good idea.

She saw something move on a rock, but before she could point her phaser at it, it scampered away. "Not so fast, buddy," she muttered, climbing up the rock to see if she could find it.

Noticing Quinn clambering up the rocks, Boudreau was tempted to call out, asking if she'd found something, but he didn't want to break her concentration. He kept searching, trying to keep an eye out on both her and any lizards that might be in the vicinity.

Amber spotted a lizard and slowly pulled out her phaser. But, before she could fire, the lizard looked up and ran off. She put the phaser back and found a place to sit and wait for another one to appear.

'Do you think we can try herding them with our phasers? Set them to low yield, wide dispersal?' Boudreau asked the other two as the scrambled across the rocks in search of Quinn's hidden quarry.

"If we can scare them out, yes. If we do it wrong, we'll send them into hiding. Let me try to lure one out first. You two get where you can stun one if it comes out to eat." Amber pulled out the small amount of fruit, grain, and a couple of dead insects. She spread them carefully on a lower rock and walked away.

'Alright,' Boudreau scrambled up the rocks and to the side of where Quinn had spread the treats for the lizards. He dialled his phaser settings back to a tight beam, setting it to a heavy stun. Crouching he watched out for any emerging critters.
