Chief Science Officer's log stardate: 70277.6:

"I've just returned to my quarters after reporting to the captain about what we discovered. It's been a long day after dealing with the XO's smug, superior attitude for a social scientist my own expertise in stellar phenomena notwithstanding.

"But the day is finally over and I have come here to decompress. I don't personally have any animosity against our esteemed exec but her attitude has to change if she and I can keep working together. Although I suppose the two of us can manage to avoid each other despite us being the two ranking scientists in the area.

"All in all, I believe it was a fruitful collaboration. I did manage to tweak my theory but I feel we are going with the exec's analysis. Since she is the ranking officer here."

"Computer, file log as complete and add it to the ship's log."
