Meanwhile back in the Alpha Quadrant at Starfleet Command, Commander Marcus Alan Ryan was in his office going over some scans of the nebula the Aurora was exploring when they disappeared. The ships had found nothing so far. But he wasn't ready to call off the search just yet.

Commodore Akeno Misaki walked into the room, she had been overseeing the search for the Aurora. The woman, although a Commodore looked younger than she was, mainly due to being part El-Aurian.

"Commander" she said as she walked in. "I have got more scans from the Harekaze for you" she explained as she passed him a data chip. "I've also cleared with Starfleet Command to take the ship back out there and try manually searching for them" she explained. Her ship, the USS Harekaze, one of Starfleets Galaxy Class Starships was one of the main ships tasked with searching for the missing Aurora and with Akeno in command of the operation, she preferred being out there than stuck back on Earth.

"Thank you for the scans, Commodore. That's excellent! Would you mind if I went with you? I'm itching to get back into space again," Ryan asked eager to search for the Aurora.

Akeno smiled. "I'm leaving within the hour. I'll meet you aboard the Harekaze" she said as she turned on a heel.

'Thank you Sir," he said to the departing senior officer softly. So he hurriedly got ready to leave.

{USS Aurora]

When the shuttle was prepped, Amber gave Ka'Tock the command to launch. She seriously hoped that his pilot skills were sufficient to get him through the rift safely. And hopefully lead the Aurora back to the Alpha Quadrant.

Ka'Tock felt the thrill of the controls; even a shuttle gave him a certain freedom. The doors opened and Ka'Tock angle the shuttle to the rift.

=^= Ka'Tock To Auorua, heading fdown that human rabbit hole hoping to be home rather than in Wonderland.=^= He transmit just before going past the Event Horizon.

The first jolt was significant; shaking the whole Space Frame as though the shuttle had taken a direct hit upon her. The vibrations rattled even through his Piloting Chair; compensating automatically he adjusted also the deflectors as well as integrity fields.

Fingers dancing along the Control panel he nosed the shuttle more b the 'feel of gravity lightly taking 'pulls' upon the shuttle while it appeared to begin a high speed dive.

Gravity Wells and intense Fire Fights are not all that different." Ka'Tock commented aloud. "Keep away fro getting hit by anything and move along a projected course. The graphics of a tactical display showed a graphic tube as the best projected course; also a good guideline while getting a feel for the area in which he flew. To observers the trip would seem far less, but to the Pilot he had to pace hi strength.

Almost like that old Earth Sport of Bobsledding, sliding down the Gravity Well is like running that winter Sport's track. One too shallow a turn and the Shuttle make a fatal Face-Plant into the gravity well itself. Nudging the shuttle down seemed an easier track; a shuttle is small and nimble, the Nova Class Star Ship might not b e so easy to control.

The Shuttle was picking up speed all right, he filtered more power to the Integrity Field, he could sense the pressure upon the hull even before the cold computer check of the ship was an automated system. Ka'Tock eased the shuttle along a path the axis centered upon. If he were in normal space he could have dropped out the acceleration.

[Manual Negative Acceleration factor exceed control systems.] The computer noise said.

Ka'Tock knew the shuttle was beyond the Computer's Threshold of control a bit ago. Instead he kept an eye on the controls, consonantly glancing at teh Gauges; the minor vibration began to get worst. Shuttering a bit now Ka'Tock could do nothing more, he simply guide it along the exit path.

[Negative acceleration will exceed Braking ability of shuttle systems within the Fleet projected the guesstimate speed of the Shuttle as an alarm set off. The hole was smaller, time progressed and left the Shuttle as a bunch of lost causes and would be hibernating soon.

The proximity alarm sounded just before the Shuttle was spit out at high speed into the forming Task Force, Ka'Tock knew he is still a long way from home; he had dreams of getting one in hi size.

The shuttle was a difficult thing at her present speed to get some control.

He was thrown forward at the Command ship; only his quick hands really allowed no collision to happen; he also had the shuttle angled away away from the Command ship and support ships caused some minor adjustments of course to avoid.

[USS Harekaze - Alpha Quadrant]

The Galaxy Class Harekaze slowed as it approached a rift. Commodore Akeno Misaki stood up as she walked down towards the viewscreen.

"Someone tell me what that is" She said simply.

"Scanning it now Sir" the Science officer on the bridge replied. His hands tapping over various keys on the console as if his fingers were dancing. "It seems to be some sort of interspacial rift. I'm trying to get a fix on where it may lead"

Akeno nodded as she looked back at him. Then something caught her eye. A small craft darted out at incredible speed.

"Commodore. A shuttlecraft was just ejected through the rift. Its heading right for us!" Lieutenant Thompson at Tactical reported his voice a little anxious, his speech faster than usual.

"Tractor it" Akeno said simply. "Bring it into the shuttlebay" she ordered.

The bright blue tractor beam grasped out, and after a few tries locked onto the small shuttle.

Akeno looked over at Ryan. "Commander. I think its best we go find out who is in that shuttle, and where they have come from" she told him. She nodded to her first officer to take the bridge. The commander nodded and moved to the center chair.

"What's the registry number on that shuttle, Lieutenant Thompson?" Ryan asked.

"NCC-72085" Thompson replied after looking over his readings. "Its from the Starship Aurora. I'm also reading one life sign aboard"

"Wonderful! They are still alive! I knew it!" Ryan said after hearing the lieutenant's announcement.

"Have medical and a security team meet us in the shuttlebay" Akeno said as she led the way to the turbolift.
