Mission:
Caverns of the mind
Location: Scientific Research Facility, Planetside

Amber watched the away team as they approached the facility, mentally noting who was there. It was a subconscious need to keep track of everyone.
She'd prepared a bed for the cave person and directed the first team to the nearby room. Then she realized the two of the team were missing. "Where are Jansum and Nakano?"
"In a ditch somewhere?" Paris replied from his seat before looking up and around at everyone. "Did I say that out loud?" He have a slight smirk before focusing back to Amber. "I'm kidding... maybe." After giving her a slight shrug he added. "Maybe they are lagging behind or lost."
She couldn't help smiling at the comment. She quickly controlled her expression. "I don't think it's a ditch, but he may wish he was in one if he doesn't have a good reason." She was pretty sure he took the engineer back to the caves. How he'd been affected so quickly she had no idea.
"Ignorance would be his only believable excuse." Paris replied as he stood up. "Let's give him an hour.... a day..." He paused slightly before adding. "If we managed to go back without them, and leave them behind, I wouldn't be all that upset. Just a thought." He slipped Amber a quick smirk before laughing slightly.
"Sorry, we're not going to leave them in the caves. There's no telling what trouble they'll get into," she countered.
"Boss man took her and ran off." She look at Remy. "I was not give leave to pursue without support so we brought the Patient here before I could go after the Boss and his new Squeeze."
"He what?" Amber turned to Tiskatee. "Take two people with you. Phasers on stun. If I'm right, they'll be in the caves. Get them back."
Paris raised a brow slightly before blurting out. "High stun. Very high, painful, stun." He looked to Amber before adding. "Just to be safe. Want to make sure it works. No room for error." For a brief moment, he looked to Tiskatee, and said. "As a matter of fact, when they go down, hit them again to be safe."
"I only 'Double Cap' obnoxious men." She retorted to Paris. "You might keep that in mind." She winked with an almost a coy smile. "And that might hurt Azusa, Mr. Paris...the victim in all this."
"Being an Orion, I imagine you would have to, but only because they aren't given much choice." Paris replied quickly, smirking a bit, before adding. "My point being, my green skinned and green eyed friend, is that we cannot leave any room for error. The scientists here were driven by something, we have no idea of knowing what, back to the caves. Azusa's proximity to the caves may soon drive her to the same instinct, similar to your boss. I am not saying you should do as I say, because clearly your humor is at the same level as a Vulcan, but if you have to you may have no choice. A higher stun setting may help name them out of this state. Temporary or not." He paused slightly, giving her a smile, before concluding. "You may not like it, but it has logic to it, Greenie."
"We also can't harm the natives. If you need to, stun them all and bring back our two. We can deal with the rest later." She turned to Remy. "I assume you want to stay here with this one? I found where he came from. He was part of the original build team that set up the facility. He was reported as a casualty."
"See?" He replied, pointing to Tiskatee then to Amber, only to gesture back to the Orion again. "Now she's ordering you to stun them all so have to listen." Paris nodded slightly before leaning against the table with his arms crossed over his chest and legs crossed. "Unless you want to argue tell her you don't listen to obnoxious women now?" He looked to Amber quickly and whispered. "For the record, I don't think you're obnoxious, just throwing her words back at her." Before giving her a thumbs up and crossing his arms again.
"Good," she whispered back, "Because I'm going to hold you to that promise you made earlier."
Paris smiled before nodding. "The sooner we get this figured out the sooner that can happen." He paused a bit before adding. "However, my comment about leaving people behind, still stands. Just as a side note." He looked to Amber and winked before smiling again.
"One who has no honor uses racial slurs Mr. Paris." Troilon remarked as she went to get the phaser rifle she add brought along and left at here.. "I will press that matter, no one calls me 'Greenie." She slung the rifle. "Must I take 'Him' Ma'am I do not trust his honor not to use the 'Double Cap' on someone"
"Never claimed to have honor, did I?" Paris replied with a smirk, not bothered by the Orion woman, due to his experience with her species before. "And an Orion with honor is about as comical as a Ferengi without greed. So rare it might as well be a myth." He let out a sigh and looked over to Amber. "There people need to learn how to detect when someone is joking. I swear, every Security Officer in Starfleet, is uptight."
Amber chose to address the security officer first. "I said take two people. I did not specify who those two should be."
She sighed and turned to Paris. "I have met honorable Orions," she said, "And you do make a habit of rubbing people the wrong way." It was a fact. She was glad that this was his public face and not his private one, too. She much preferred Paris when they were alone together.
"I imagine you have, but a female species that's breed with an ability to help them seduce men, is far less honorable then I could ever be." Paris uncrossed his arms and placed them on the table before adding. "Tell me something, all honesty, did you detect that I wasn't serious?"
"I did, but she didn't," she said quietly. "We can talk about this later. I need to see what's going on with the man they brought out. What is his name?" She picked up a PADD. "Ah, yes. O'Brady." She touched his arm before turning to follow Boudreau. She was definitely looking forward to spending some time alone with Paris.
