Mission: Caverns of the mind
Location: Ready Room

Ka'Tock sat in his Ready Room going over the reports; he thought a counselor had logs to fill out but nothing like a Commander. He had taken over a vessel fueled by forms submitted and reports to be filed. This is not his jive as Humans call it.

"Aurora to Quinn, this is Ka'Tock are you receiving?" He called to the XO on the surface.

"Yes, sir. Loud and clear."

"I am just checking in." Ka'Tock continued. "I was wondering about the status of the Away Team?"

"Patterson is outside the cave. She reported the team went in an hour ago." Amber reported. "It's about thirty minutes by foot from here. I expect to hear from them within the hour. Paris and I are taking a deeper look into the logs and reports. We're looking for anything that may help explain what happened."

=^= Anything to report with your research?" Ka'Tock questioned. =^= If you need computer resources we can help you out should the need arise.=^=

"Nothing, except an increasing interest in the caves and the natives," she replied. "The computers here are good enough for what we're doing, but thanks for the offer."

=^= You know we are here should you need anything.=^= Ka'Tock chuckled. =^= Next time I get to go to the surface and you play waiting game up here. =^=

Amber chuckled. "As long as it's not science-based, you're on."

=^=I am expecting the Wayward Chief Doctor soon, her shuttle reached the outer sensor range. I will get her to the labs and maybe ready to come down if you need?=^= He held a smile. =^= Keep us apprised of any developments.=^=

"Thanks. I'll keep you informed of any progress," Amber said.

"I'm getting a message from the away team. I'll get back to you. Quinn out."

Ka'Tock hated being stuck out of the loop.
