Mission: Caverns of the mind
Location: Tessa's quarters
Timeline: after shift 1900 hours

Tessa was finally off duty; the dinner at the Galley has her content and the just finished Bubble Bath had her feeling so clean and her skin smooth after being on that station in close quarters; the hem of her skirted uniform was itchy aginst top of her knees her skin so chafed from the landing party having to wear slacks. Now she had to bring the skirt hem up to minimal length to allow her legs to breathe and she opted for the boots only as the nice sensation of not wearing hose over her chapped feeling legs today.

She wore her a Silk Chemise night shirt with criss-cross straps and low back to just cover her and allow her clean skin to enjoy the slightly cooling effect of the recycling air. It was good to be able to bring out her lacy things and wear them, the powder blue chemise with white lace style top of her shirt and her soft frilly underthings let her be a lady.

Kuroko had just finished duty, she had spent the extra few moments updating a few reports before signing off. Heading back to her quarters she paused at the doors opposite. "Should I see if she's ok? Thats the right thing to do right?"

Shaking her head she stepped towards her door, before something pulled her back, spun her around and suddenly she was facing Tessa's door. She didn't know what it was, it was like some sort of instinct. She reached out and pressed the chime.

"Now who would want to be ah callin at this hour?" Tessa took her short Silk Chinese red robe with gold trim and sah with the lotus blossoms blooming on the branch on both shoulders and going down the sleeves. She had just slipped her arms through and the front billow a little until she stop at the door and opened it.

"OH, Miss Shirai, what a sur-prise." She said as she continued to close the housecoat and tie the sash. "Would you'all come in for some tea?" She was polite as a lady should be.

Kuroko stood there a little surprised. "Tessa" she said with a smile. "I came by to see if you're alright. You know... after everything that happened" she said as she stepped in.

"Now that is just sooo sweet of yew." SHe gave a smile that touched her eyes. " She turned to lead Kuroko towards the small table. "Yew came jus in t-ime for evening tea." She sashay towards the table and tea set.

To say that Kuroko was a little confused was an understatement. They had been at each others throats since they had bumped into each other again. She smiled as she took a seat. "Is this your famous tea that you used to treat with me?"

"Iz there any other kind?" She pulled her sleeve so not to have the robe rise as she took the cups and bent at knee to keep hemline discreet. "You' all like sug-gar?" Taking the lid off then the tiny tweezers. "How many Lumps Yew want?"

"Just one...." for some reason Kuroko couldn't help herself. Under her breath she said very faintly "...you".

"One lump it iz." Tessa took out the cube and drop it into the cup. "Ah have some skones Ah managed to get from the galley wuld you like won?"

Kuroko nodded and took a scone. "So, whats got you in such a good mood?" she couldn't help but ask.

"Why Ah am always polite and in a good mood." Her strong accent emphasizing the words as she pour her own tea then sat and crossed her legs. "Ah have no idea what you mean by that. It is lovely to be back and after a long soak don't you'all feel better?"

"I suppose..." Kuroko replied as she took sip of the tea. The sweet aroma filling her senses. "You still make the best tea, I've not had it in such a long time" she said with a smile. She looked up at Tessa, her heart pounding against her chest, much like the first time she met her. "So...." Kuroko said. "Is there anything else you.... well... you know. Want to do?"

"Ah was thinking of some music and a book." Tessa winked. "Just relax after all that seating and such on the planet; addd some more lotion and then my softest sheets and a good sleep." She look to Koroko. "What were yew thinking of doing to round out your Knight before yew came fer tea?"."

Kuroko simply stared at her for a few moments. "I wasn't really sure. Just dinner then probably a few reports before heading to bed... you know me... work first pleasure second..."

"Mah staff told me to take ti-me to mah-self soo Ah would never get out of the Sick Bay, Ah mean really, all work makes Tessa a dull girl."

"Are you sure you're feeling alright?" Kuroko asked simply taking another sip of the tea. This was not like Tessa, her accent was becoming more and more stronger like she was no longer in control of it.

"Wright as rain..." Tessa smiled. "Just glad to be back on the ship iz all." tilting her head to look Koroko over. "Yew shure look nervous, things all-wright on Se-curity?"

"Erm, yes all's fine and good. We've had a lot to do... but everything is good now. How were things down in medical... I know it was hard on the away team" Kuroko asked. She didn't want to put her nose where it wasn't wanted, but she did appreciate the thought.

"Well other than your lil'ole boss becoming a caveman and having to put him back wright Ah would say it was rather bore-ing." Tessa giggled. "And the science team that we res-cued." She took another sip of her tea. "You can ask him about the Dragging of a girl into the cave real Cave Man style if you'all like in the morning?"

"You mean Chief Nakano?" Kuroko asked. "I heard about that, sounds pretty scary. You didn't come back with anything did you?"

"Do Ah look like I want to wear buckskins?" Tessa seemed insulted. "No man will drag me to his cave."

Kuroko laughed. "You'll still look good in anything that you wear, and as for the man. Not your style huh?" she added with a slight wink.

"None so far." She laughed. "Too into themselves and getting lucky for mah tastes."

Raising an eyebrow Kuroko seemed a bit confused. "So... I guess we're all good now?" she asked simply.

"AH am always open for tea and conversation; you know that. What kind of Southern lady would Ah be if Ah did not share tea?" She admonished.

Hesitating Kuroko wasn't sure how to respond to that. She stared at Tessa for a few seconds. "Erm..." she couldn't find the words. "Huh?"

"Tea time." Tessa said with a soft chuckle. "Ah am always one for polite conversation over tea silly." She wave a hand. "Yew can come over any-time for that. So yes we are good Sweetie; Ah know you like my tea as a treat."

Kuroko nodded as she held the teacup in her hands. "So, do I get to entertain next time?" she asked.

"That iz so sweet of Yew." Tessa replied with a bright smile. "Ah will hold you to it." She winked. "But not tomorrow, Ah have an... appointment that I have to keep. SO Yew can be hostess the day after."

"Appointment?" Kuroko asked. "I didn't realise you were a counselor" she laughed as she finished her tea. "Regardless... I'm glad you're ok" she said.

"Ah am better than okay, Ah am fine." She winked. "And so glad you stopped bye... but I do have to get my beauty sleep, be terrible if ah show up with bags under Mah eyes." She nod. "Which means my little ol bed is a callin."

Smiling Kuroko nodded. "No problem. Its been a long day, get some rest" she said simply. She headed towards the door. "Don't do anything I wouldn't... ok?"

"Hard to git into mischief by mah self, Good Night Miss Shi-rai." She finger waved.

Kuroko left the room, as soon as the doors shut behind her she took a deep breath. "Well... that was weird" she said to herself before she crossed the corridor and entered her own quarters.

"Now for the beauty sleep; I am sure Steven will appreciate it." She commented to herself as she went towards her bed.
