Secretly, she has some: one is to own and run a museum/gallery of sorts on a Starbase or Colony somewhere . One that contains all her treasures gathered over the years, currently her collection is small. |

| Personal History | Born the youngest of the Nastari clan, Djeneba spent most of her early years struggling with a disease that affected her system that was contracted off an item that her father had brought home during one of many visits to other places. Because of it she spent most of her time indoors, exploring her world via books, images, studies and daily talks with her family. This time only spurred her mind and her curiosity, and she found that ancient things, like the one that had held the contagion were a mystery to be solved, or to try and solve. By the time she was in her early teenage years, her family had finally had found a doctor whom had been able to mostly cure her of the disease, it stunted her growth and she was left a few inches shorter and smaller than the rest of her family who was more average in height. The drawback is that now and again she suffers with what one would call a 'growth' like pain within her bones. (It has a cycle of occuring about once every 3 to 6 months). After it starts it tends to run its course with in a few weeks and is moderated with a synthesized pain reliever that the doctor had created. The pain is reduced and mobility of her muscles is controlled through a use of a salve administered to her legs daily, it has a light herbal/flowery scent to it. It does not prohibit her from duty in any way. Unless she does not receive her treatments. As Djeneba continued through her teen years, she may not have excelled at her classes but she did well enough to start many basic university courses during her junior high and high school years. Upon graduation she continued at university. Yet ever curious about things she realized that greater mysteries existed beyond Earth and attempted to join Star Fleet, she passed her entrance examines even before she finished her doctorate. After university she entered Starfleet and continued within the field of science. Her first assignment was aboard a Miranda class ship, USS Oriskany. When the Oriskany was decommissioned Djeneba was transferred to the USS Savannah to serve as one of the many science officers. Aboard the constitution type starship. Eventually she acted as assistant to the assistant chief science officer on the alternate duty shifts. The First Officer of the Savannah heard of a position opening aboard the Aurora when the previous assistant science officer left. It was one that could further her career and suggested she transfer to the USS Aurora. |
